Photography

Photography  is the artscience, and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film, or electronically by means of an image sensor.
There are various categories of photography and the are a few i focussed on such as science, reality and sports and also say something about their characteristics and differences.

This is a scientific image that shows how butterflies are attracted to light.
The image is clear and very focussed on the subjects to show every detail of the species.
This is a realistic picture that shows the effects of war.
The image is in black and white which has a more in depth effect.
The image is of a child suffering from hunger/starvation. The black and white gives a sombre effect and the viewer is able to see the characters better.
This photograph shows the occupy movement, the image is in colour and doesn't have an impact as much as the images in black and white do.
The image is of two rugby players, it shows movement and action.
The image is of two rugby players, it shows movement and action. The action is not pre planned.

The image shows a lady posing for a photograph in the fashion field. The images is pre planned and staged.
The world of fashion photography shows beautiful women displaying the objects that are being advertised. The women are used to make the object more desirable and in turn set a trend.

The world of photography dictates the opinion of the viewer about a subject, object or society by the  manner in which it is presented. In science the images are very clear so as the detail can be shown. In fashion the models pictures are pre meditated and the photographer knows what he wants as compared to sports the action is sporadic and random and the photographer is but forced to wait for the perfect picture.
Society is effected by what they see and how it is shown matters most, the third image depicts a hungry woman and the effect that it has on society is remorse and empathy.
